APRS/DPRS
Our group has always been very active in APRS. We currently have two high profile APRS digipeaters. We hope to add two additional digipeaters in the next year to provide better coverage. We will also be connecting the current digipeaters to the internet with I-Gates.
K8GPS Digipeaters
The KA8ZNY digipeaters will be transitioning over to the new group callsign of K8GPS. K8GPS-2 is high profile and located SE just outside of Columbus. K8GPS-10 is a very high profile Digi located near Newcastle OH just west of Mt. Vernon. KA8ZNY-10 is located between Columbus and Cincinnati.
W8DIG DPRS Internet Gateway
The W8DIG repeater system also fully supports DPRS allowing D-Star radios equiped with GPS receivers to report their position on the APRS network.
